I don't know how some doctors do it.  Most oncologists have never had cancer.  Most orthopedic surgeons have never gone under the knife.  Few therapists have ever fought overseas and experienced post traumatic stress disorder.  It must be hard to have empathy if you've never experienced the condition for yourself.

The White stuff is here in West Michigan and it's getting cold outside.  Its is a time for sledding, snowmen, skiing, snowball fights, and school cancellations.  It is also a time for weather-related slips, trips, and falls on icy surfaces.  These injuries can trigger (or re-aggravate) spinal problems.  This can lead to neck pain, back pain, sciatica, and headaches.  Of course, the doctors of Zehr Chiropractic are well equipped to treat these when injuries when we see them, but the following steps may help you prevent such an injury.

Norton Shores Michigan Chiropractor -- As with many descriptions of conditions, sciatica is misunderstood by most in the Muskegon area.  At Zehr Chiropractic we have learned to ask many questions and be sure to listen and look carefully at a patient to be sure the doctor is fully understanding the patient’s concerns.  (more…)

Norton Shores Michigan Chiropractor - Humans.  We think we’re so smart.  We invent.  We create.    It’s what we do.  And we’re reallllllly good at it.  While gadget lovers like myself geek out on things like self-parking cars and iPads, we often become too reliant on our modern conveniences.

Norton Shores Michigan Chiropractor - I recently treated a patient of mine in the last few weeks of her pregnancy.  She was a back and neck pain sufferer who started seeing me over a year ago.  Her symptoms resolved a while back and she has seeing me on a preventative basis since.  Upon getting the news that she was pregnant, she wondered if the increased weight and other whacky changes that occur with pregnancy might cause a relapse in her symptoms.  Plenty of women never have back pain until they have their first child, so she figured that since she already had back problems, she may be more susceptible than most.
