Meet The Doctors

My family and I moved here in July 2002 knowing no one. I was born and raised in Central Illinois and my wife from Southeast Michigan. I have always joked that I moved to West Michigan for the water and trees. This also put us within driving distance of both of our families. I have a beautiful wife and 3 awesome kids, a miniature schnauzer and 9 chickens. We have really jumped into this community with both feet. I serve on our school board, coach 2 of my 3 kids’ soccer teams in the Calvary Christian Schools Soccer program.

The practice opened in September 2002 and was blessed to have a very good start and has grown to the point that 9 years ago I was able to bring on another doctor, Dr. Jared Plemon. We have had well over 2000 patients come through our doors from Ludington, Fremont, Grand Rapids, and Holland. We have been counting on our satisfied patients telling others about our specialty and the improvements that have occurred in their health as a result. They have come through; there is nothing more rewarding than a patient trusting us with the health of their friends and loved ones.

Hi! I’m Dr. Jeffrey L. Zehr. I have been in practice since 1999 and started my own practice in Muskegon in 2002.  I have a Masters in sports medicine and was a certified athletic trainer for 3 years before going back to chiropractic school where I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic (The Fountain Head). I am Board certified in Atlas Orthogonal and Advanced Proficiency Rated in Activator Methods.

Surveyed patients’ number one complaint about doctors is that they don’t listen. We are careful to be sure our patients know we are listening and that we care. We have been told numerous times how thorough we are and how well we explain things regarding their care here.  We try to give the patient the information they need to make their own decision that is in their best interest.

As a trainer I began to work with chiropractors and was impressed by the results I saw. I discovered that chiropractic care had much greater potential to help people in profound ways without drugs and surgery. As I explored the Atlas Orthogonal chiropractic technique, I could not deny the results I saw and experienced for myself. I love how gentle and non-invasive it is. No area of the spine is more important than the Atlas and there is no better way to treat it than the Atlas Orthogonal technique. Patients also benefit from our understanding of how the Atlas affects the nervous system and therefore their health in general even helping conditions beyond back pain.

At Zehr Chiropractic, we believe that the power that made the body heals the body; we simply remove the interference! Your spine affects your life!

Hi, I’m Dr. Jared Plemon. I have been practicing chiropractic since 2004 and have been at Zehr Chiropractic since 2006.  I was a Dean’s list student at the University of Wisconsin, where I majored in biology and completed my undergraduate studies. I received my Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I graduated with honors. I have completed postgraduate studies in spinal rehabilitation, geriatrics, and pain management. I am Advanced Proficiency Rated in the Activator Methods Technique and I am also proficient in the Atlas Orthogonal technique. I have also participated in a government-sponsored program that sends doctors abroad to provide free care to underprivileged people in rural Brazil. I utilize safe, effective chiropractic care in order to restore proper spine alignment, alleviating pain and improving function. Instead of using medications or surgery, I help my patients by relieving the cause of their problem, so the body can heal itself.

One thing I want my patients to understand is that I have been there.  I injured my neck while playing football in high school, leaving me in debilitating pain.   When muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatories, pain medications and ice failed to solve my problem, my
